Season 1 – Episode 12
Recurrent urinary infections: The story of Sylvie and her TVT strip
In this episode, I welcome Sylvie, who traveled all the way from Toulouse, France, to have her TVT mesh removed and regain a life free of pain.
She shares her journey, from having the mesh implanted in 2015 to her decision to cross the ocean to consult Dr. Veronikis in Saint-Louis.
Sylvie talks about her abdominal pain, recurrent urinary infections, and how she discovered, through testimonies and reports, that her TVT mesh might be the cause of her suffering.
Today, after her surgery, she’s slowly regaining her freedom of movement and is looking toward the future with hope.
We also discuss the importance of the group experience, surrounded by women going through the same struggles. This support and solidarity make all the difference when navigating these tough times.
If you’re curious to learn more about the potential complications related to TVT meshes, the testimonies of women who’ve had surgery, or if you’re searching for answers about your own pain, this episode is for you!
