Multiple sclerosis and chronic pain: Marie-Claude’s story
Marie-Claude faced a challenging journey after having a sling implanted in 2015, all while dealing with multiple sclerosis since 2010.
Constant pain in her legs and hips, along with difficulty walking, became part of her daily life. After years of suffering, she decided to have her sling removed in 2020 with the help of Dr. Veronikis.
Following the surgery, Marie-Claude regained her freedom of movement, including the ability to lie on her hips—a gesture she hadn’t been able to do for three years.
Today, she continues to sleep on her hips without pain, walks with ease, uses a stationary bike at home to keep her legs strong, and goes to the pool once a week to stay active.
A touching testimony that shows it is possible to find hope and well-being, even after years of suffering.
